LEWIS J HANSEN

1925 – 2008

MAGNA- Lewis J Hansen returned to his Heavenly Father April 21, 2008, he was 82. Lewis was born in Fountain Green, Utah May 27, 1925 to Thomas Henry and Sarah Ann Rowbury Hansen. He married Vonda Peterson in Ephrium, Utah October 2, 1946. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple July 6, 1955.

            Lewis served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific, he loved his country. He loved the Lord and served in various positions during his life. Both Lewis and Vonda served in the Fort Worth Texas Mission.            

            Lewis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vonda; children, Joan (Ron) Turpin, Susan (John) Quist, Kevin (Debbie) Hansen, Thomas (Mary) Hansen, E. Scott (Ohleen) Hansen; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; twin sister, Lucille Painter; sister, Donnetta. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister.

            Funeral services will be held 12 noon, April 28, 2008 at the Elk Run Chapel, 3610 South 8400 West, Magna. Friends may call 6-8 pm, April 27, 2008 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna and 11-11:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment: Redwood Memorial.
