Betty Wightman Reinkoester

1921 – 2011

            Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Betty Clair Wightman Reinkoester passed away July 12, 2011 in South Jordan, UT.  She was born November 10, 1921 in Port Clinton, OH to Edward and Henrietta Warnke Wightman.  She married Robert William Reinkoester February 13, 1944 in Port Clinton, OH.

            Betty was an active member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.  She was also involved in both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and enjoyed plastic canvas needle work.

            She is survived by her husband; son, Robert Jr. (Linda); niece, Linda (Duane) Rowberry; grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah) Reinkoester and Erin (Josh) Huber; great grandchildren, Peter and Ethan; sister, Margaret Latham; brother, Jim (Toni) Wightman; and many other nieces and nephews.

            Preceded in death by parents; brother, Ellsworth; and sister, Elaine Velliquette.

            Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where friends and family may call Tuesday 1-2 p.m. prior to services.  Interment: Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton, OH.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
