David Edwin Parry Sr.
1943 – 2011
Our loving father, grandfather, and brother, David Edwin Parry Sr. left us on Sunday, May 22, 2011. He was born on October 10, 1943 in Ely, NV to Charles Edwin and Lilly Marie Cox Parry. He married Barbara Louise Ames on April 7, 1966; they were later sealed together with their 6 boys in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
David served in the US Army and retired from Kennecott Copper after many years. He loved woodworking and going camping.
He is survived by his children, Tammy (Lynn) Grover, Scott (Patricia), Charles (Susan), Joseph, David Jr. (Anita), Michael, and Jeremy (Kalli) Parry; 5 sisters; 2 brothers; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife; 1 sister; 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Walnut Hills 1st Ward, 5938 W. 6200 S., where family and friends may call Thursday 10 – 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
