Dorene Mitchell Sadler

1923 - 2012

 

On July 20, Dorene left her earthly family to be with her loving husband and ‘soul mate’; Gene.  She is a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend.

Dorene leaves a legacy of compassionate service, missionary work and love of family. She married her best friend and neighbor Gene in the Salt Lake City Temple April 3, 1942. They found joy and fulfillment in raising their children and in a lifetime of faithful church service.  Together they served LDS missions in Samoa and Wisconsin.

Dorene had a sunny disposition and was naturally friendly.  From a young age she enjoyed singing in choirs. She was a devoted long-time member of the Silver Belles, a local senior women’s choir.

Dorene was born December 11, 1923. She is survived by her children: Jan, Judy (Garry), Barbara (Brent); Lon (Pat), Les (Sally); Guy, Gary (Peggy); Bob; Mark (Penny) Sadler; Kay (Cindy); Don (Cathy); Netty, Lorie; 47 Grandchildren 72 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.  Preceded in death by: Twin Sister Irene (at age 4), Parents Roy & Ada; Husband Gene; Brothers Max & Raymond.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Magna Stake Center, 8400 West 3084 South, where a viewing will be held Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.  Interment immediately following at the Pleasant Green Cemetery.
