Doris Palmer was born Oct. 13, 1915 in Whitney Idaho.  She said goodbye to this earth on Friday April 2^nd 2010, surrounded by her loving family.  She is the mother of nine children, the grandmother to forty-eight, the great-grandmother to seventy-eight and the great-great-grandmother to four.  Doris was proceeded in death by her husband, Garald and two sons,  Devar and Steven.  She has four  sisters and a brother.  She is survived by her sister Shirley Palmer Condie, of Provo. 

      Doris was the first child of John Frank Palmer and Myrtle Gilbert. 

     She grew up in Preston Idaho and graduated from Preston High School in 1933.

     On March 6^th 1935 she married Garald Layne in the Logan Temple.  After a full and rewarding life together Doris and Garald went on a full-time mission to Florida in 1978. They celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary , with friends and family, in 1985.   When Garald died in 1987 Doris occupied herself with Genealogy.  For over ten years she researched and brought the gospel to thousands of her deceased ancestors.  As we mourn her passing the Heavens rejoice her entry. 

     Funeral services will be held on Wednesday the 7^th of April at 10:00. There will be a viewing before the service from 9:00-9:45.  The chapel is located at 7825 West Sharon Drive (3300 South) in Magna Utah .  Interment: Lewiston City Cemetery, 3 pm, April 7, 2010.
