1941 – 2012
Douglas Lee Curtis, 70, passed away June 22, 2012 after battling lung cancer. He was born September 15, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to Alvin W. and Emma L Peterson Curtis. Doug served in the US Navy for 6 years. He enjoyed fishing and singing, and he loved the ladies.
He is survived by his children, Teresa (Kevin) Carlton, Alvin (Katie) Curtis, Tennille (Charles) Thorne, and Andrea (Tracy) Earl; step daughter, Joette; adopted daughter, Shalynn; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and brother, Jerry (Shirley) Curtis. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Douglas; and 2 brothers, Stanley and Don.
The family would like to thank Hearts for Hospice and anyone else personally involved with his care over the last year.
