JOHN ARTHUR LAWSON

We've lost our HERO! On October 8, 2010 we unexpectedly lost an amazing Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Grampa and best friend, US Army Master Sgt. John A Lawson (Ret.). Master Sgt. Lawson retired from the US Army after 24 years of service to his country where he put his heart and soul into a job he loved.  

 Born Dec.19, 1952 to parents Anita Alice & Vernon Johnson, John was instilled with the strength, courage, and compassion which made him the patriotic man he became. A talker, joker, and prankster, John loved to make everyone smile and would keep your company all day if given the chance. John married Judith M. Astengo on May 4 1974.

 He is survived by his mother, Anita Alice; brothers Robert Lawson and Michael T. Johnson; daughters Bobbi S. Jiordano, Anita Jo Johnson (Michael); grandchildren Jason, Jr.and Jessca C-M Hubbard, Michaela Jo, Micah Jiovanni, and Misty Jade Johnson; nephew Bobby and nieces, Michele Lawson and Jessica. John is preceded in death by his father, Vernon, son Johnny Jr, and grandson Joshua Jiordano.

Services are to be held at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S. ,Magna  3pm Saturday, October 16 with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the John A Lawson Fund at America First Credit Union.
