Larry Lee Briggs
“Still plays with trucks”

Our sweet husband, daddy and grandpa returned home after a
valiant battle against Myleodyplastic Syndrome on March 16, 2010.
Born to Edwin Marion Briggs and Arlene Jule Henry on
January 23, 1940 in Walnut, Iowa.
He moved to Magna, Utah
where he met and married the love of his life, JoAnn Hardy.
Retired from Kennecott where he made many life-long friends. He enjoyed
working on cars, rebuilding his ’52 Ford Pickup and NASCAR.
He was a witty, genuine and compassionate man.
Larry is survived by his wife, and daughters: Lori (Kevin)
Cook, Kari Briggs, and Jackie (Darren) Allred. Grandchildren: Ben, Claire,
Devin, Karisha, and Jessica and great-grand daughter, Emma. Siblings: Sherrie,
Rodney, Ronald, Douglas, and Kenneth; nieces
and nephews and faithful dog, Lanzi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father,
Maurice Simila, and brother Theodore.

Dr. Harker and Bristol Hospice. Special thanks to Nurse Bryan for your care and
compassion.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m.
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where
friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 22 and Tuesday 1 hour prior
to services. Interment: Midway
