Lorraine Elkins

1922 – 2011

            Our beloved mother and grandmother, Lorraine Zito Elkins passed away February 7, 2011.  She was born January 20, 1922 in Magna, Utah to Joseph James and Rosezella Taylor Zito.  She married Oscar Milton Elkins August 6, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming.  He died September 13, 1979.

            Lorraine was a member of the LDS Church.  She made beautifully crocheted and embroidered quilts, afghan blankets, and hand cloths she shared generously with her family.  She enjoyed reading and had a beautiful singing voice.

            She is survived by her children, Shanna Elkins and Joseph Elkins; 7 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and special niece, Sonnet Grant.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
