"So Long Miss Shirley"



Our mother Shirley May Peterson passed away on March 29th surrounded by her
family. She was born September 14, 1936 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Alta Wilcox and
Thomas Monserret. Raised by her adored grandparents Migual and Bonafosia
Monserret. Growing up in Idaho was something Mom always spoke of with fond
memories of working on the farm with her Grandfather, whether it was plowing or
planting she was right beside him. She also loved going to the Idaho state fair,
she said no other fair compared. After her grandparents passed she moved to
Magna, Utah to join the Monserret Family. She graduated from Cyprus High School,
married Kaye Brown later divorced, and married Ronald Peterson. She retired from
ATK in 1997 where she made many friends. Survived by her husband,
children; Kelly (Tena) Brown, Shauna Briggs (Kirk), Stacey (Ted) Brems, and Guy
Peterson. Ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one on the way. Step
Children- Leann, Ronnie, Cindy and Mark Peterson. Extended family step mom
Clare, brothers Mick Monserret, Tom Monserret, Marty (Carrie) Monserret, Randy
(Glenda) Weaver. Sisters Anita (Tom) Titcomb, Lynie Buval, Chris Brent, Lee Ann
Donnelly, Terri (Mike) Taylor. Special friends Red and Janette Johnson, and
Sunday Catten. Preceded in death by her parents, Alta Weaver and Thomas
Monserret, Step Father Joe Pasko, Grandparents Migual and Bonafosia Monserret,
Marvin and Eva Priest, Mother and Father-In-Law Carold and Mary Peterson. Sister
Marvalene Whiteside and Brother-In-Law Frank Buval. A gathering will be held
11am-1pm, Monday, April 4, 2011 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South,
Magna. There will be a private interment. Condolences:
