Thomas Anthony Crose

1953 - 2010

 

Thomas Anthony Crose our loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor passed away Apr 3, 2010 at the young age of 56 after a tragically short, but valiant battle with cancer. 

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 5, 1953 he grew up in West Valley City attending Granger High School, entering the Navy in 1971 and was later honorably discharged.  He married Debra Stuber (later divorced).Tom married the love of his life, Carol, Dec. 15, 1990. 

Tom was a gifted mechanic and handyman, and was employed at Plaza Cycle at the time of his passing.  He loved spending his time with his family and his cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed trap shooting, camping, playing pool and cards with his father, and playing with the grandkids. Most of all he loved helping friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, his father Hank, daughters Cherie Pearson, Michelle (Neal) Baker, Toni (Jeff) Bentley, and Stacey (Bob) Davis, 13 grandchildren, and special friend Carma Whitehead; preceded in death by mother, Faye, and brother, Cory.

The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and staff at the V.A. Hospital for their loving compassion, with a special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Gavin West.  We take great comfort in knowing he is forever free of pain.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Peel Funeral Home 8525 West 2700 South Magna. Friends and family can pay their respects on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. and at 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services on Thursday.  Interment will be at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
