You are my Sunshine

Vera ‘Pookie’ Larsen, beloved sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2010, surrounded by her family.  She was 57 years old.  Vera, words cannot express how much we already miss you, or how much you have enriched our lives with your love and your beautiful smile. We have loved sharing in your many hobbies, like swimming, bowling, singing, and dancing, and enjoying your company over hamburgers and a diet coke (your favorite!), and on so many fun vacations.  We are so proud of you and your many accomplishments.  You have taught us to live beyond our limitations, to love unconditionally, and to find joy in even the smallest things.  Pookie, you made everyone around you smile, and we know that you are smiling on us now, bossing around everyone in heaven, and charming the angels out of just one more banana.  Your West Side Center family, your adopted family, and your Susie love and miss you so much.
