VIOLET R. YATES

MAGNA- Violet Ruth Beacham Yates, Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away May 3, 2011 after her short struggle with cancer. She was born April 17, 1925 in Stockton, Utah to Frank and Ruth Quinn Beacham.

She married Selby O. Yates November 21, 1941 in Malad, Idaho; their marriage was solemnized August 26, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Violet was an active member of the LDS Church. She was very quiet and a thoughtful person and never forgot a birthday. Grandma was a master French Toast and Pumpkin Pie maker. Violet always was selfless and thought of others before herself. She will be greatly missed by her family who loved her dearly.

Survived by her children, Ruth (Gerald) Cooke, Alan (Ann) Yates, and Shauna (Craig) Jackson; 11 grandchildren, 14.5 great grandchildren, sister; Florence Fordham. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Selby; son, William Owen Yates; 3 brothers, 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Lake Ridge
