James L Nicholes
July 1945 – September 2019
If only I had one more minute
One more hour
One more day
I had a million minutes
A million hours
A million days
Now I have a million memories
James was larger than life. He was a force to recon with.
He loved his Sharon of 33 years with all his heart. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He taught them that “Family” matters and that your word is everything.
He loved hunting. He spent many hours hunting with his brother Kay and his sons, grandson and friends. Horses were part of his life from a very early age, and he loved them. He loved riding in the mountains of Utah. He loved the “Farm” way of life.
He loved working hard. He worked hard every day, either for himself or others. He worked for Kennecott Copper for 40 years and for Western States Masonry for over 20 years.
He loved the town of Magna and was so proud of it. He spent many selfless hours improving the Pleasant Green Cemetery and loved every minute of it.
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars” Khalil Gibran
Seared with scars he was because he loved. He was selfless, loyal, compassionate, intelligent, and so much more. He took on the world, as he was larger than life, and he won!
James is survived by his wife, Sharonann. His children; Nondas (Bobbi Jean) Nicholes, Jason (Terra) Nicholes, Becky (Afa) Otuafi, Ryan Jensen, Ali (Kleigh) Humphrey, Aaron (Jennifer) Jensen, Scott (Tori) Jensen. His brother Jay R. (Norma) Nicholes, his sister-in-law Roberta Nicholes. His 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and his nephews and nieces. James was preceded in death by his parents, Nondas & Grace Nicholes, his brother Kay T. Nicholes and his sister and brother-in-law Carolyn & Robert Jacobsen.
