1954 ~ 2017

Chop quietly passed away at home on November 26, 2017 in Magna, Utah. He was born in Los Angeles, California to Arthur and Martha (Tomita) Lai and was the only son of 3 children (Sisters; Lori Lai and Chris Johnson). He is survived by his son, Jay Lai and 3 grandsons; Kruze, Joshy and Dominik.

We could write a novel about his life experiences, talent as well as his trials and tribulations. Chop touched many people's lives throughout his life and knew no boundaries when caring for those he loved. He was known for his sense of humor and always had a smile to share.

Professionally, he was best known for his ability to build custom "Choppers", a skilled tattoo artist, member of the Screen Actors Guild, Journeyman Electrician and many, many more occupations. There wasn't anything he couldn't do.

His final resting place will be a Shovelhead custom built by Jay and his sons. Per his wishes, there will be no ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, by all means polish some chrome, have a shot and take one more ride with him in spirit!
