Angelica Carrasco Puerto

1940 ~ 2016

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, and sister, Angelica Carrasco Puerto passed away March 2, 2016 of natural causes. Angelica’s passing leaves a void in all of our hearts that can never be mended. Born April 4, 1940 in Ojinaga, Chihuaha Mexico to Jesus Carrasco and Catalina Garcia. Married Rafael Puerto Guerra in 1961 in Mexico; together they migrated to the United States in 1965 in search for a better life for themselves and 4 small children at the time. They settled in California, Texas, Colorado and finally making their permanent home in Utah.

Angelica loved her family very much and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a fun and silly side to her that only her family saw. Angelica was a sociable and friendly person who would engage in small talk with a stranger or a family friend. Angelica enjoyed trips to Wendover, traveling, gardening, nature and her family. She will be dearly missed immensely. Your family.

Survived by husband, Rafael; children, Sylvia (Eduardo) Barragan, Harv Puerto, Hazel Bretzing, Maria Puerto, Freddy Puerto, Raphael Puerto Jr., and Kathy Puerto; grandchildren, Angelica Lujan, Raquel Riddle, Yecenia McIntyre, Alysia Berriel, Randi Waterlyn, Austin Puerto, Cynthia Lopez, Amanda Hernandez, Chandi Puerto, Bianca Taylor, Dino Jaramillo, Marqus James, Mario Puerto; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Consuelo Tovar, Eva Jacques; and brothers, Ramon Carrasco and Lolo Carrasco. “If ever there is tomorrow when we’re no together…there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart…I’ll always be with you.” – A.A. Milne
