With hearts full of love and sadness, our family grieves the passing of the most precious baby girl, Avery Vanessa Vargas Pollock, who was born on September 28 and passed peacefully in her parents’ arms on October 1, 2025. 

Named in honor of her uncle Avery, Avery Vanessa will forever be remembered and cherished by him, her loving parents, grandparents, abuelas, abuelos, tíos, tías, primos, and all family, blood-related or otherwise. 

Avery was surrounded by her incredibly devoted parents, Vanessa and Austin, and embraced by a family whose love for her began long before her arrival. Though Avery’s time with us was brief, it was full of adoration, love, kisses, smiles, laughter, and excitement. We are so glad we were able to meet you, baby girl. 

Avery is preceded in death with her grandpa, Lawrence, and many, many others from both sides of each family. Survived by her parents, Austin and Vanessa, her uncle Avery (Mackenzie), her tío Josué, her tío Christian, her abuela Raquel, her abuelo Josué (Irma), her grandparents Paige (Page), and great tíos, tías, primos, and other loving family members. 

Services will be held at Peel Funeral Home in Magna, UT on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Viewing will begin at 11:30 AM, and services start promptly at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to their fund, to support her parents during this difficult time. 

Avery’s family is deeply grateful to the incredible at-home healthcare providers, Katia, Trinette, Ambria, and the teams at both St. Mark’s Hospital and Primary Children’s Hospital NICU, who treated her with such tenderness and dignity. Their compassion will never be forgotten.
