Brenda Kay High Mortensen

1960 ~ 2018

Brenda Kay High Mortensen, passed away February 10, 2018 at the University of Utah Hospital after succumbing to her lingering illness. She was born November 8, 1960 in Akron, Ohio to George and Nancy Clark High.

Brenda married her sweetheart, Phillip Kay Mortensen in Elko, Nevada on April 29, 1984. Later they settled in Magna, Utah and raised their family.

She loved her house plants and caring for them. Not only was she an angel herself she loved to collect them too. Brenda loved her family more than life itself, especially her grandchildren. She was a fan of Elton John and she loved to relax and sit in the sun listening to her music. She was addicted to ice cream and would eat it any time of the day or night.

She is survived by her husband, children; Jennifer (Dean) Gushwa, Jason (Mary) Mortensen, Tricia Mortensen, Heather (Adam) Miller, sister, Sharon (David) Petit, Jesus Lavado, brother, David (Amy) High, grandchildren; Nathaniel, Shawn, Kaylynn, Anthony, Zackary, Camille, Johnny, Kaden, Stormi, Evelyn, great grandchild, Sebastian.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kim, son, Justin, nephew, Bryan.

Memorial services will be 11 am Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the West  Mountain Chaple, 3610 S 8400 W,  Magna. A visitation will be 10-10:45 am at the church. Interment: Private
