Brian Joseph Golden

Brian Golden, born April 21, 1969 to James and Betty Golden, passed away  July 23, 2025 in Magna Utah. Brian’s childhood was more complicated than those of his siblings, but this never held him back, he still ran, played, got in trouble and had fun as kids do.

He graduated from Montrose H.S. in 1988 and  Johnson Technical Institute in 1990. His interest in computers & technology began in high school. His college years allowed him to gain more knowledge and skills. This experience gave him a solid foundation that he would draw upon throughout his life.

After college, he worked for a PA based company as a Mechanical Draftsman, moving to Utah in 1999 when the company downsized. Another company restructuring in 2003 required employees to relocate, but he chose not to move, which resulted in the end of his career in drafting and design.

After several years working with computers and technology, he transitioned into the IT world in 2003, where he began providing technical support, via telephone. If you knew Brian very well, you know he had very little patience and no filter so the fact that he did this for 22 years is astounding. His last employer, Groove Technology Solutions, said he was well liked by others and will be greatly missed by his team.

Brian became his own person and lived life his way. He didn’t like change or confrontation, so he lived with what he had or what developed around him. He was as stubborn as could be, so all requests for him to move closer to family were met with a stern NO. He was where he wanted to be.

Brian will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially his siblings, Bill (Becky Jo) Golden, Julie (Karl) Lail and Bob Golden, nephew Keith (Jennifer) Golden, great niece Leighanne Golden & son Lane, great nephew Kyle Golden as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Golden and grandparents Edward and Catherine Golden and Raymond and Mildred Johnson.

A celebration of life will be scheduled and held at a later date in Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you call and talk with a person you haven’t talked to recently; hug your family, and friends, and tell them you love them and/or make a donation to your favorite charity.
