Carol Mae Jones

1929 ~ 2016

Carol Mae Jones, 86, of Magna, Utah passed away at her daughter's home of natural causes on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Carol was born November 17, 1929 in Rochester, New York to Allan and Gretchen (Templeton) Krieger. She married Thomas William Jones III on September 18, 1951 in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple, and together they had 3 children.

She was employed by Weight Watchers for many years and treasured the friendships she made there. Carol was a true chocoholic. She had a dry wit, loved Pink Panther movies and dancing in the aisle at Neil Diamond concerts. She loved her family, friends, and her Savior Jesus Christ.

Carol is survived by Steven Jones (Sandy) Havre de Grace, MD; Kathleen Golson (William) Magna, Utah; 4 granddaughters: Jennifer Mitchell (Andy), Megan, Brooke, and Samantha Golson. And she had one great granddaughter Grace Mitchell.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Russell; her husband Thomas and daughter Melinda Jones.

At Carol's request, a private family graveside service was held at Valley View Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to Good Shepherd Home Care and Hospice, especially to Kathy, Paula, and Barbara for the tender loving care they showed Carol. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel to her neighbors and Ward members for the service they rendered to Carol, especially to our “adopted” family Susan and Garth Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, donate to your favorite Charity in her name.  Online condolences may be offered at www.peelfuneralhome.com
