Cody Peterson

September 28, 1973 — May 27, 2022

Cody Peterson departed for his last adventure unexpectedly the morning of Friday, May 27th at the age of 48. Cody is survived by his daughter, Shailee (Thomas) Manning, grandchildren Slater, and Zeppelin Manning; girlfriend Brittany Walker; mother, Jackie; brother Chase (Rich); nephews Stryder and Scout; grandmother, Vauna. He is preceded in death by his father Michael “Peter” and grandparents Grant Peterson, Roy and Barbara York.

Cody was passionate in his many talents and trades. He loved going duck and muzzleloader hunting with his dad, old and classic car restoration, home renovation, plumbing, electrical, car sales, real estate, trucking, bar ownership, and more. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1991 and lived in Magna, Utah for the majority of his life, where he could often be found visiting friends and family, watching movies, and spreading laughter. He is incredibly proud of his daughter Shailee for her passion and immense talent for hair color artistry. Anyone who had the privilege to know Cody knew what a genuine, talented, fun-loving humorous guy he was. 

A graveside ceremony is scheduled for 11:00am on Friday, June 3rd at the Pleasant Green Cemetery (9200 W 3500 S, Magna, UT 84044). Luncheon to follow at 1:30pm at the Webster Center (8952 W Magna Main St, Magna, UT 84044).

Cody was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
