Crayton Gene "Butch" Campbell

Crayton Gene Campbell, 82 of Magna, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.  He was born July 30,1941 in Provo, Utah to Crayton J. and Laverda Wade Campbell. He married Kay and they later divorced. He married Dianne Leatherby and they later divorced. He married Shirley Drain (deceased). He married his best friend, Gail Cochrane Barney. 

Gene enlisted in the Marines in 1960 and honorably discharged in 1964. He was so proud to be a Marine. He loved to rock hunt and take care of his little garden and rose bushes. He enjoyed spending time with his family when they came to visit. He really loved his fur babies, and they loved him. He was always watching his old western movies. He always looked forward to playing cards weekly with his wife, brother and sister-in-law. He will be missed!

He is survived by his wife, Gail Campbell of Magna Utah; his brother Lou (Bonnie) Campbell; his children Crayton J. (Shirley) Campbell, Lori (John) Butterfield, Lisa (Curt) Butterfield; stepchildren, Pam (Dennis) Sandoval, Cindy (Carl) Rickert, John (Tina) Brothersen, Guy Brothersen, and Kim (Chris) Losee; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister (Patsy Andrews), a brother-in-law (Meril Andrews), and stepdaughter (Charlotte Barney.)

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, there will be a visitation from 11:00am - 12:30 pm and a memorial service from 12:30pm - 1:00pm at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main Street, Magna, UT 84044.
