In Loving Memory of Dan 

Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Dan, was born on January 7, 1951, and passed away on July 24, 2026. 

Dan will be missed by his wife, Gayle, of 53 wonderful years, and his daughters Kristine Caldwell (Ken), Amanda Carpenter (Kevin), Beckie Almond (Mike), and Bonnie Anthony (Anthony). He was blessed with 8 amazing grandchildren, with whom he shared countless treasured moments. Each grandchild had their own special connection with Papa Mustang. 

Dan deeply missed his son, Daniel, and is happy to be reunited with him and his favorite pup, Barquiller. “The best pup ever, his best friend”. 

Dan had a lifelong love for his Ford vehicles and took great pride in caring for them. Every vehicle he owned was kept spotless; a reflection of the care and attention he put into everything he loved. He always looked forward to buying a new car and enjoyed spending his Sundays visiting Ford Truckland and the Ford Super Store. Cars were more than a hobby—they were one of his greatest passions. He loved reading about them, talking about them, and sharing that enthusiasm with family and friends. 

Dan cherished spending time with his wife. They enjoyed going out to dinner together, sharing laughter, conversation, and the simple joy of being in each other's company. 

A private graveside memorial service for immediate family will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. 

Dan will be laid to rest beside his beloved son, Daniel, a reunion that brings comfort to those who loved them both. 

He will be deeply loved, forever missed, and always remembered.
