Deborah "Debby" Janet Deguzman

Debby Deguzman, 63, passed away on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. She was born to Janet Richens and Melvin Winn Ellis on August 17, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Debby then married the love of her life, Genghis Deguzman, on April 26th, 2003.

Debby was a homemaker. She enjoyed trips to Wendover with her husband, siblings, and children. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, sitting in the sun, and late-night drives. Most of all, her greatest joy was time spent with her family.

Debby is survived by her husband, Genghis Deguzman; five children: Jeffrey (Brandi) Thornton, Stephanie (TJ) Brereton, Jennifer Watts, Laura (Tony) Satison, and Josh DeGuzman; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her seven siblings: Mitch (Juene) Ellis, Randy (Deena) Ellis, Lisa (Jay) Simon, Russ (Tara) Kakala, Troy (Carrie) Johnson, Seanoa (Janet) Lavatai, and Melanie (Dirk) Witkamp.

Debby’s viewing will be held at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W Magna Main, Magna, UT 84044, on Friday, June 6th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. 3180 W Elmwood Dr, Riverton, UT
