Dee D. Tippetts

Dee Tippetts, 79, passed peacefully in his sleep on February 13, 2026.

Dee was born on September 18, 1946, to Mary Woneighta Bryant and Alva Harrison Tippetts, who preceded him in death. He was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, alongside his 7 siblings, Zoella, Lloyd, Pat, Joel, TyNea, Susan, and Sunnee, most of whom preceded him in death. He attended West High School.

A devoted husband, proud father. He took great pride working as a driver for Cazier, Whetstone Construction, and Granite Construction. He spent many years doing the “fluff run” for Thornley and working as a mechanic at Kenworth and Peterbilt. His work ethic was steady and strong, but never more important than the family he cherished.

He was the beloved husband of Pat, his partner in life and love. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering support. He was a proud and loving father to Alva, Roscoe, Troy, Tracy, Hollis, Jenni, Brigham, Sariah, and Lauren (and Spouses), who he loved, but his grandchildren were the greatest joy of his life. Whether offering guidance, encouragement, or a listening ear, he always tried to be present.

He also had a deep love for food — not just for eating, but for gathering. He found happiness around the table, sharing meals, stories (oh, the stories), and second helpings with family and friends. Some of the best memories were made over his favorite dishes, where conversation flowed as freely as his laughter.

He will be remembered for his generous heart, steady presence, and the love he gave so freely. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are grateful for the life he lived and the love he leaves behind.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pat, his children and their spouses, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and countless friends, all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
