DeeAnne Oldham

DeeAnne Oldham, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, artist, and treasured friend, took her last breath on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:42pm at Copper Creek Senior Living in South Jordan, Utah, surrounded by the love of her family and loved ones. She now rejoins her eternal companion, John, along with the family she missed so deeply.

To know DeeAnne was to feel seen.

She had a remarkable gift for making every person she met feel welcome, valued, and important. Whether she had known someone for fifty years or five minutes, she met them with genuine curiosity, warmth, and an open heart. She had a way of turning strangers into friends and friends into family. Her lifelong “Club” friends, whom she met in school, remained some of her dearest companions throughout her long full life—a testament to the love and loyalty she brought to every relationship.

An artist at heart, DeeAnne saw beauty everywhere. She expressed it through her paintings, her poetry and the way she lived. She infused ordinary moments with laughter, conversation, kindness, and joy. She believed life was meant to be shared, and every gathering was brighter because DeeAnne was there.

She accepted people exactly as they were. She never needed people to be different to love them. Two of her favorite phrases captured the way she chose to live: “Don’t blame, explain, or complain,” and “Drop your expectations, and your serenity will rise.” Those simple words reflected a life grounded in grace, compassion, acceptance, and peace.

DeeAnne created ripples of kindness everywhere she went, leaving behind a legacy of love, connection, and light that will continue for generations.

DeeAnne was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert and Genieve Broadhead, the second of four children. She graduated from Cyprus High School and attended two years of college. 

She married John Wellington Oldham (Jack) on July 13, 1963, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, beginning a partnership built on faith, family, and devotion.

She is survived by her children David Oldham, Tasha Oldham, and Todd Oldham; her sister Kathy Pearson; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and countless friends who were more like family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; her sons William and John; and her brothers, Monte and Steve.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, July 28, from 5-6pm, followed by services from 6-7pm and a dinner at 7:15pm at the LDS Chapel, 8059 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah.

Interment will take place Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 11am at Valley View Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Copper Creek Assisted Living in South Jordan at 2:00p. on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

The family invites all whose lives were touched by DeeAnne to join in celebrating a gentle soul who made the world kinder, brighter, and more beautiful simply by being herself.
