Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather DeMar Miles Tippets passed away on Tuesday May 24th, 2022 in West Jordan, UT.
He was born March 21, 1937 in Preston, Idaho to Glen Harvey Tippets and Lida Miles Tippets. He was married to Dixie Lee Scott on Oct 3, 1958 and had a daughter. They later divorced. He was a member of the LDS church and after his divorce, in 1965 he served in the Northwestern United States LDS mission. 25 years later he was able to return to baptize his good friend Pete Guzman. He met and married his sweet heart MayonaMarie Zufelt on July 3, 1968 in the Logan, UT LDS temple. Together they raised 2 sons.
He was a member of the National Guard for 6 years. He worked for Anderson Coach building mobile homes, Murray Power and then retired from Coca-Cola as a service technician after 29 years. He was a member of the Fish Club, and the Car Club where he spent a lot of time with his fish and cruising in his Fiat with his car buddies. After retirement from Coca-Cola, he and Mayona traveled the world with friends and family. He loved to visit with everyone and tell lots of jokes. He made friends everywhere.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mayona, of 53 years. Daughter Donna Woodruff, Son Ricky DeMar (Carrie), Son Roger Dee (Kellie), Adopted Daughter Katt Kelson, 10 grandkids, and 2 great grandkids. He is also survived by two siblings, brother Ralph (Kathie) Tippets, and sister Shirley Bennet. Preceded in death by his parents.
