Diane Pauline Drain, born May 5, 1956, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Diane was the beloved daughter of Sherman Drain and Afton Turpin Drain, and a cherished sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend. She was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for her generosity, creativity, and treasured laugh.
Throughout her life, Diane brought music and warmth into the lives of those around her. She played the accordion and loved to sing, sharing her musical talents during family jam sessions. She loved all kinds of music from traditional country to classic rock. She was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, loved shopping and Mexican food – especially chili verde burritos from La Frontera. She loved going to the movies, especially with her mom, and played in bowling leagues over the years.
Diane dedicated her professional life to Rocky Mountain Power, where she held several positions during a long and respected career before retiring.
Diane was a gifted gardener and home decorator who spent countless hours making her home beautiful. Her creativity and attention to detail were evident in everything she touched.
Diane is survived by her loving family, including five nieces, two nephews, five great nieces, six great nephews, 4 great-great nieces, and two great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Robert Drain and Sherie Thorn.Diane will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, her love of beauty and music, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family.
Diane will be interred at Valley View Memorial Park beside her parents. No services are planned per Diane’s request
