Diane Gonzales

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt Diane Rose Gonzales left us peacefully at the age of 73 on October 28, 2018 to live eternally with her beloved Luciano who preceded her in death.

She was born to Conrad and Margaret Cruz in Durango, CO and married Luciano Gonzales in February 1965 in Magna, UT. She was a wife, mother, homemaker, and had a full career at Northrup Grumman. After retirement she developed a passion for water aerobics (“the waters”) and a healthier lifestyle. Diane truly loved her family and having them all around gave her great joy. She enjoyed family events and gatherings, whether it was a meal or party at one of her children’s homes, sitting at the bowling alley giving high fives, visiting with her sisters or brother, listening to karaoke, or having a dance a-thon with her grandchildren. Diane also loved her day trips to Wendover for a bit of slot machine fun and to Idaho for lottery tickets. She also really enjoyed to eat out and frequented many local restaurants. She especially enjoyed free pie for dessert.

She is survived by her children Lewis Gonzales, Lonnie (Stacey) Gonzales, and Peggy (David) Nguyen; grandchildren Shalair, Samantha, Chantel, Jordan, Ashton, and Janessa; great-grandchildren, Shaydyn and Preslee; sisters Yvonne, Sophie, and Kathy, and brother David; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Luciano, her parents, and cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 2840 S. 9000 W, Magna, UT. A viewing will be held on Sunday between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the church.  Committal: Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
