Donna Burt

Donna Swenson Burt was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, on February 4, 1934. She passed away peacefully, on July 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was 88 years old. Her parents, Harold Albert Swenson and Jennie Alberta Williams provided a loving home for Donna and her siblings, Loa Jean, Ray Allen, Phyllis, and Wallace. Donna’s childhood was filled with happiness and love.  She enjoyed spending time on the family farm, learning the value of hard work and saving money.  Donna graduated from Spanish Fork High School. Donna worked for the Hilda B Jones Center for over 30 years teaching special needs children.

Donna married Jack W. Burt and they had five children: David (Erica), Ronald (Donna), Laurie (Steve) Spencer, Gregory (Debbie), and Jana (Eric) Rasmussen. They later divorced.

Donna’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were a blessing to her and were the loves of her life. Donna cared deeply about others.  She enjoyed cooking and would make meals and Christmas Tea Rings to share with family and friends. She was highly skilled at crocheting and sewing sharing these talents with many people.  She welcomed everyone into her home and took pride in its appearance.

Donna had a delightful sense of humor that helped her navigate the difficult times in her life. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings.  She loved to attend the temple with her friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and brothers-in-law. She is survived by her sisters, her 5 children, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.

The family appreciates all the help and loving care provided by her hospice specialists.

Viewings will be held Thursday, July 7^th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah and Friday, July 8^th from 10:00 -10:45 a.m. at the Ward Chapel, prior to her funeral services.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 8^th at Spencer 3^rd Ward Chapel, 8181 West Breeze Drive Magna, UT at 11:00 a.m.
