Our beloved father and grandfather, Douglas Albert Johnson passed away on May 28, 2023, in West Valley City, Utah. He was born June 19, 1931, in High River, Alberta Canada to Orrin and Annie Stickney Johnson. He was the youngest of six children.
Douglas attended school in Rosemary and High River Alberta Canada. He moved to Salt Lake City with his parents when he was 16 years old and later graduated from Granger High School. He attended Technical College and graduated at the top of his class. Douglas worked for the Government, Tooele Army Depot in which he built Redeye missiles. Douglas was a cowboy at heart and had a great passion for old time country music and playing his guitar with family and friends.
He married Remma Josephine Draper in June of 1965 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a great love for his family and friends.
Douglas is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Mark) Petty; three grandchildren, Karli (Kyle) Grieder, Raquel (Sam) Verdine, Stephanie (Melissa) Murphy and four great grandchildren. Douglas is preceded in death by his wife Remma Josephine Draper Johnson; son, Forrest Tracy Johnson; parents and all his siblings.

A viewing will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main St. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
