Douglas Scott Bezzant passed away on April 26, 2026, in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on December 22, 1950, in Salt Lake City, UT to Neldon and Vairanica Bezzant.
Doug loved the outdoors. From a young age, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, off-roading, and every outdoor adventure he could find. He was a loving husband and the ultimate girl dad.
His career involved roofing, working for Kennecott, and he was the parts manager for Wheeler Machinery. He also served on the board of Magna Water.
He was completely dedicated to providing for his family and giving them wonderful experiences and memories. The capstone of his adventures included a safari in Africa, where he hunted wildlife and got a Cape Buffalo.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan, who cared for him as he navigated cancer treatments. He is also survived by his children, Kim Bezzant (Chad Shields), Brooke Bezzant, Angie Marchant (Paul), Kim Allen (Mont), and Tiffany Daybell. Also survived by Jake and Julie Driffill, Boone and Emily Driffill, Alfredo and Anna Valenzuela; his brother, Bill Bezzant (Ione), and his sisters, Chris Sandall and Pam Slack (Dave). In addition, there were his friends and in-laws, Jim and Dorethea Barron, Gaye Wright, and numerous grandchildren.
Preceded in death by sister, Marilyn Holman, brother-in-law, Jeff Sandall, former wife, Margean Bezzant, and grandchild, Kaden Shields.
In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or donate to your favorite charity.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Peel Funeral Home. 8525 W. Magna Main St., Magna, Utah.

Interment will be on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11 am at Valley View Memorial Park. 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, Utah.
