Earlean Nelson Bowers

Earlean was born January 1, 1926 in Tooele, Utah to Dan and Stella Elkington Nelson. She died peacefully in her sleep on September 13, 2017.  She married Robert H. Bowers on September 12, 1947 and later they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Together they had 3 children; Dan (Sylvia), Sue (Roger) Phillips, Janice (Chuck) Rainsford. Her family consisted of her children, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Alice (Hal) Edison.

Earlean’s greatest joy was her family. She was a practical and well-organized person. Her quick wit kept her friends and family in stiches. She was a very good-natured person with a profound sense of humor. Earlean’s favorite saying was, “A day without bacon is a day without sunshine”. We will miss her. She had a special connection with her granddaughter, Pam. Each member of her family felt her love and support. We feel like she was truly a gift from God.

Earlean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sweet granddaughter, Stacie, 3 sisters.

Graveside services will be held 11 am Monday September 18, 2017 at the Valley View Memorial Park. A viewing will be 6-8 pm Sunday September 17, 2017 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W 2700 S, Magna. Condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
