Francisco Arreola

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Francisco "Frank" Arreola. He went to rest eternally with his beloved wife, Harriett Hanes Arreola, on August 20th, 2026, at 13:39, at the age of 89, surrounded by loved ones.

Frank was born in Gallup, New Mexico, on July 13th, 1937, to Lina Arriola, as one of six children. He joined the Air Force, where he met and married Harriet Loreen Hanes, and started to grow a family together, while hopping bases around the world. Over the years, they welcomed their three daughters (in the words of Harriett, they had "Eenie, Meeny, Minye and No Mo) into the world. After he was honorably discharged for serving his country, they found themselves in the small town of Magna, Utah, where they put down roots and raised their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Frank was immensely fond of their little town and giving back to the people in Magna, so together they joined the Magna Lions Club that became a huge part of caring for their community one family at a time, leaving a legacy of care through donations, scholarships, supplying eyeglasses, the 4th of July breakfast, and much more. Their love of travel and helping others led them to the Lions Club International, where they saw the world that gave back to people of all walks of life.

Frank loved being a part of his community in any way he was able to, but he also fiercely loved his family and supported all of the activities his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were a part of, and attended as many events as possible to make sure they knew it. You could almost guarantee there wasn't a missed baseball, basketball, swimming, water polo, or dance event they were in, and you were sure to see him in the bleachers in his youth swag. We will forever miss him cheering on the kids and being such a wonderful part of helping them develop the love they had for all of their sports and dedicated interests. When he wasn't in a bleacher, he was walking or riding his bike around town, golfing, or off on an adventure seeing the world. He loved spending time at their cabin property in Southern Utah as often as possible, and loved to create, care for, and tinker with the property to make it their very own home away from home.

We are forever grateful for the time we had with our wonderful "Paw Paw", until we meet again.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Jeanne M Hall, Tina L Saifizadeh (Siroos), and Lori A Richards (Rex); his sister, Margaret Ramirez; grandchildren, Shayla Oliver(Jeff), Jason Richards(Crystal), Nima Saifizadeh, Weston Hall, Tyler Richards, and Jessica Hall; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Danielle, Ava, and Eavie.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Hanes Arreola; his sisters, Francis and Vicente; and his brothers, Martin, Anthony, and Joseph.

Funeral Service will be held in honor of Frank and Harriet Arreola on September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 9200 West 3500 South, Magna, Utah 84044. Followed by a memorial service and lunch at 12:15 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 777 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102.
