Frank Driffill, 1932-2025
Frank Driffill, age 93, passed away on September 2, 2025 in Murray, Utah. Frank was born on June 30, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Tom Driffill and Vairanica Young Wilson. He married LaFay Thornock on March 8, 1951 (later divorced). He married Barbara Worthen-Yeates on October 4, 1968. Frank graduated from Cyprus High School (Class of 1951) and served in the United States Army (1953-1955). He retired from Kennecott Copper after 34 years of service. Not one to be long without a job, he subsequently worked for and retired from Kimberly-Clark, Mag Corp, and Hoyt. He was a long-time resident of Magna and West Valley City, Utah. He loved his family and devoted his life to caring for them. He cherished many hunting trips with his boys and lovingly supported his children in their endeavors.
Frank is survived by his eight children and their spouses: Luanne Coon (Lynn), Jana Rae Cahoon (Ben), Ken Driffill (Rosa), Dan Driffill (Melissa), Glen Driffill (Cheryl), Tom Driffill (Mary), Nikki Peck (Steve), and Scott Driffill (Rhonna). Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dellene Alvis, and brothers-in-law, Delyn Yeates (Vickie); Rick Yeates (Sharla); Don Yeates (Val); and Tim Yeates.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara; mother and father; brothers, Joe and Tommy Boy Driffill; sisters, Jenny Blake, Betty Shepard, Peggy Barber, Vairanica Bezzant; mother-in-law, Fay Yeates; father-in-law, Keith Yeates; brother-in-law, Michael Yeates; sister-in-law Cora Jean Miller; a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter, and a great-grandson.
Frank’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at The Abbington Assisted Living of Murray and especially Liz for her tender care of our dad; and Hali at Renew Home Health and Hospice for her constant and caring support.

A viewing will be held at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W 2700 S in Magna on the evening of September 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at noon on September 8 with a viewing prior at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Green Cemetery (Boot Hill)
