Franklin Douglas Suazo was born February 18, 1931 to Joseph and Rena Suazo in Kaysville Michigan, he passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2015, with his family. Frank grew up on his grandmother’s ranch in New Mexico. His family moved to Durango later on where Frank attended high school. He served in the United States Army in the 10 th Infantry Division from 1950 to 1953, when he was honorably discharged. He married Pauline Chavez in 1954 in Durango, Colorado. Frank and Pauline moved to Utah in 1955 where their family continued to grow. Frank had a distinguished career of 36 years as an Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic at Hill AFB, where he received many awards and distinctions for his dedication, ingenuity, and faithful service.
Frank loved the outdoors and especially fishing with the family. He enjoyed seeing the big catches and hearing fishing and hunting stories. He was a lifetime Chevy man.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Ester Bowden.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; and his sons, Greg, Dennis, Gary, the twins Mark and Lawrence; and daughter, Paulette Capener. Frank has 22 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and some extended family.
Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:00 am. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 9000 W., Magna, Utah. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
