Glen Richard Whitmore was born July 12, 1931 in Springville, Utah and passed away on January 21, 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah of age related complications at the age of 94. He spent most of his growing up years in California and most of his adult life in Ohio. He was an accountant for most of his professional career. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission at the age of 19 in the Western Central States Mission which included a lengthy stay in Montana and the Dakotas. Shortly after, he was drafted into the army and served in Korea during the Korean War.
He had a passion for genealogy and loved making sure his family was connected throughout the generations. He also loved to serve in the temple and was a temple worker for many, many years. He loved the gospel and searching the many mysteries of life.
After his wife died in 2016, he moved to West Valley, Utah to be closer to his immediate family. While there he especially enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie he found at Harmon’s Senior Center.
Glen is survived by his children, Jay (Fran) Whitmore, Chrystal Whitmore and Drew (Marie) Whitmore and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
Interment will be February 7, 2026 at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.
