Harriett Arreola

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Harriet Lorene Hanes Arreola, on the evening of July 25th, 2026, at the age of 86, holding the hand of her love.

Born on October 30th, 1939, in Pike Township, PA, to Leon and Vera Hanes as the only daughter to a farm full of brothers. Growing up on a farm allowed her to develop the hard-working skills that led her to later serve her country in the United States Air Force, where she met her husband, Francisco "Frank" Arreola, serving our country together until they were honorably released when their contract was up. Married on base in Denver, Colorado, on November 23rd, 1959, they started their life together after a role in the clovers, welcoming three daughters into the world.

Over the decades of teaching, she gave all the children who passed through her classroom patience and compassion through their education and hardships, and life, leaving many lifelong friendships. She valued being part of her little Magna community so greatly that alongside her husband, she brought the Magna Lions Club to life. Together they passionately assisted the community around them and, for decades, ran the local favorite, 4th of July pancake breakfast. She worked hard to supply glasses to the community, while assisting families in many other ways throughout their lifetime. Through the Lions Club, she cultivated and grew her ability to reach further out into the community she loved, and then extended out to the world through the Lions Club International Commerce, sharing her love for helping others with the world. Lasting memories while growing her family and friendships through love and dedicated kindness to others, and she will be deeply missed as part of our community.

Harriet had a big heart for helping people, but she lived for her grandkids, and she will carry on inside each of them. She was lovingly referred to as "Grams" and "Mrs A".

She is survived by her husband, Francis Frank Arreola; her daughters, Jeanne Hall, Tina Saifizadeh (Cyrus), and Lori Richards (Rex); their grandchildren, Shayla Oliver, Jason Richards, Nima Saifizadeh, Weston Hall, Tyler Richards, and Jessica Hall; their great-grandchildren, Aiden Oliver, Danielle Richards, Ava Oliver, and Eavie Oliver.

Preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Herb, Harry, Bob, Joe, and Bill.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you donate to the Lions Club International.
