Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Helen Matilda Owens Reeves passed away August 2, 2011 in West Valley City, Utah.
She was born September 10, 1924 in San Francisco, CA to William Clarence and Anna Elizabeth Petersen Owens. She married her US Navy sailor sweetheart, Dickinson Reeves May 27, 1944 in Oakland, CA; he passed away November 12, 2004.
Helen was a member of the LDS Church. She was also a member of the Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club in Bellevue, WA. She loved camping in Yosemite, boating with family and friends, and traveling at any opportunity.
She cherished and is survived by her children, Donald (Faye), John (Dia), and Janet (Craig) Bliss; 12 grandchildren and their spouses; and 27 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Donald.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where friends and family may call 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 1215- 145 th Place S.E., Bellevue, WA. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
