Heaven gained the “life of the party” on Sunday February 5, 2017. Jamie Sue Johnson our beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend returned to our Heavenly Father’s open arms. Born May 25, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In her youth she spent much of her time playing softball, soccer and entertaining others with her hacky sack skills. She graduated from Cyprus High School in 1994.
Jamie loved to be with her children and family spending time in the mountains camping, fishing and enjoying nature. She had a love of all animals. Jamie offered unconditional love to all. Jamie had a witty personality and could always make people laugh. She was very smart, and could show empathy to all no matter the situation. People were naturally drawn to her and her infectious personality.
She is survived by her 4 children, Hailey Marae Lester, Lillee, Jackson and Brody Holmes and their father Roger Holmes; parents Jesse and Claudia Johnson, 7 siblings, Jolynn, Colette (Ish) Wines, Jackie (Randy) Wright, JanaRae (Scott) Perry, Cori (Steve) Cragun, Jarrin (Shayna) Johnson, and Chellee (Keith) Bertoch. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that she loved dearly. Proceeded in death by her grandparents; Claude and Donna Hawkins and Jesse Sr. and Emma Johnson. Viewing will be held at Peel Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm at 8525 West 2700 South, Magna on Friday Feb 10, 2017. Funeral Service will be held Saturday Feb 11, 2017 at Hunter 23 rd Ward at 3665 South 6000 West at 12:00 noon. There will be a viewing from 11:00-11:45 am prior to the funeral services. Interment will be at the Valley View Cemetery, West Valley City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, financial donations are welcome to help with expenses.
