Julia Garcia Rocha

Julia passed away June 30, 2015 while surrounded by her family.  She was born June 28, 1929 in Ralls, Texas to Rodolfo and Feliciana Luna Garcia. She was the 5 th of 12 children, and later raised and adopted by Pedro and Florencia Muiz Garcia the oldest of nine children.  Julia married Pedro G. Rocha in Lubbock, Texas, and together raised their 6 children.

Julia was a wonderful wife of 58 years and she was a very loving mother, caring grandmother and great grandmother.  She is loved by all of her family and all those who came to know her. She loved to talk to people and always made friends everywhere she went. Julia loved to tell stories about her different adventures she had in Wendover.  Her joking and silly manner will be missed and will continue to make our hearts smile.

Julia is survived by Susana (Jon) Davis, their children and grandchildren, Felicia (Neil) Price, Martin, Angela, Solis, Quinton.   Ramon Rodriguez Jr, Dallas, McKenna, Oakley, Landry.  Tawnia (Delane) Blaser, Nicole, Elise, Ammon, Samuel, Jaycee, Clint.  Carolina (Paul) McArthur, Lilia, Liam Wallace, Lochlan.  Julia (Jake) Chouinard, Josslyn.  Samuel (Heather) Rodriguez, Adrian, Noah, Jacob, new baby. Augustina (Romey) Espinosa, their children and grandchildren, Linda Espinosa, Tayler, Christopher, Phoebe, Joie.  Roman (Donna) Espinosa, Keith (Jessica) Gerhardt, Nora.  Thomas, Alan.  Danniella (Scott) Dew, Laney, Jaxon Scott. Pedro (Shelby) Rocha, their children and grandchildren, Kristian (Myles) Andrews, Phillip, new baby, Patrick, Preston.  Andrea (Craig) George, Alexander, Taige, Charlee.  Melissa (Hemi) Tapia, Isabella, Kai, Maximus, Zion, new baby.  Felina Rocha, Mason. Rosalinda Samora, her children and grandchildren, Jake Jr, Angel, Gianni.  Tino Joseph, Victoria, Tino Jr.  Maria (Trevar) Samora.  Juan Carlos (Trish) Samora, Carlitos, Seveya.  Monica, Feliciana, Cheyene, Mateas. Ruben M. Rocha Mary (Jeff) VanRij, their children and grandchildren, Isaac (Leslie) Bytendorp, Elias, Esperanza, Alexis, Javier, Bryon, Aries.  Devyn (Eric) Bytendorp, Karma, Madelyne, Amyllia, and new baby.  Vanessa (Duncan) Bytendorp.

Julia is now in heaven with those who preceded in death, husband, Pedro, grandson, Cruz, grandson, Robert, brothers and sisters. Kiss Daddy for all of us.

A funeral mass will be 10 am Monday July 6, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2864 S 9000 W. A Prayer Vigil will be 7 pm Sunday July 5, 2015 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W Magna Main St. (2700 S). Visitations will be 6-7 pm Sunday at the mortuary and 9-10 am Monday at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
