Kae Parker

Kae L Parker loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on July 24, 2017 at the age of 79. She passed away at her son and daughter in laws home in Madera, CA. Kae was born on August 4, 1937 to Frank Garfield (Cap) and Mary Lewis and grew up in Magna UT attending Cyprus High School.

Kae worked in the Fertilizer industry for many years, first at Stauffer Chemical in Utah and then at Chevron Chemical in California where she took an early retirement from Chevron. Kae then opened “Grandma Kae’s Lovin Daycare” which she operated for 15 years before retiring to her home town of Magna, UT. Kae still had close relationships with the parents and grown children she once took care of in her Daycare, all still called her Grandma Kae. Kae had many friends across the United States who she visited and spoke with often.

Kae was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Magna, UT where she was very active with the annual Spaghetti Dinner and other committees. Kae was willing to help anyone at any time if needed.

Kae was proceeded in death by her parents Frank Garfield (Cap) and Mary Lewis, brother Anthony Frank Lewis, brother in law Merrill Christensen, nephew Scott Christensen and grandnephew Justin Jones.

Kae is survived by her son Randall (Sharron) Parker, sister Joyce Christensen, granddaughters Malina (Brekston) Havranek, Randi (Randy) Aspeland, great grandson Tyler Wilkins and great granddaughters Rylan, Reagan, Parker and Saylor.

A Memorial will be held Wednesday August 9, 2017 from 10 AM to 11 AM followed by a rosary at Peel Funeral Home at 8525 W 2700 S  Magna, UT. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park following the rosary. A luncheon will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Hall at 2840 S 9000 W Magna, UT after the interment.
