Karen Ann James

1954 - 2010

In loving memory of a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Karen Ann James passed away on April 19, 2010.

Born on November 14, 1954 to Roy James and Darlene Marshall, she grew up in Magna UT and attended Cyprus High School.  She married Rodney Bowen on May 28, 1971; they later divorced.  Karen was full of love she appreciated the simple things in life and loved a good party.  Her biggest joys in life were her eight children and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Roy James; eight children, Travis (Ami) Bowen, Niki Bowen Tomecek, Brian Chad (Delvesa) Christofferson, Amy Corinne Jones, Pamela Camille Jones, Amanda Sara Isaac, Stevie Ann Weiss, JaColby Boynton; twelve grandchildren; five brothers, Steve James, Kevin (Linda) James, Jeff (Dru) James, Troy (Monica) James, Aaron (Lorie) Gaines; and two sisters, Amy (Ray) Loyd and Arlene (Randy) Ripple.

She is preceded in death by her mothers, Darlene Marshall and Marjorie May James; her brothers, Jerry, Roy Jr.; and sister, Darenda.

We love you mom and you will always be in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday, April 23, 2010 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where friends and family may call 11 a.m. to 12 noon prior to services.  Interment: Pleasant Green Cemetery.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
