Magna/Grantsville, UT - Karen K. Manzanares, age 84, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born on September 2nd 1941 in Tooele, Utah to Gordon and Katherine Bolinder.
After marrying the love of her life, Julian Manzanares, in 1957, Karen dedicated her life to family and community. She enjoyed a fulfilling career at O.C. Tanner, where she formed lasting friendships with her colleagues, who remember her warmth and kindness.
In retirement, Karen and Julian embraced a new adventure as campground hosts, where they created cherished memories and friendships with fellow campers. Her commitment to community service shone through in her role as a crossing guard with the Grantsville School District, ensuring the safety of children in her neighborhood.
Karen leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by her five children: Julie (Bill) Schwartz, Brenda (Dennis) Barbour, Becky (Gary) McDonald, Kathy Scott, and Mark, along with eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother Roy.
Preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Julian, as well as her brothers and sisters, Earl, Josephine, Maxene, Glenn, Don, Jack, Thelda, Anna, George, Arthur, and Sally. Karen's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her incredible journey was marked by love, friendship, and a commitment to making the world a better place.

Viewings will be held Tuesday, July 7th, 6-7 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, July 8th, 9-9:45 a.m., with Funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 9000 W., Magna, UT. Committal: Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 S. A family luncheon will follow at the church.
