Kathleen Dyches Collings

Kathleen Ione Dyches Collings passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2023.  Kathy was born January 12, 1946, to Harold Thomas and Claone Johnson Dyches.  She was their middle child with an older brother, Tommy, and a younger brother, Kim.  After Kathy graduated from Cyprus High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Rod Collings on April 3, 1965.  They were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple.  They made their forever home in Magna where together they raised three daughters.  Kathy loved her family with all her heart.  They were her pride and joy.

Kathy was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She had many adventures while serving in the Young Women’s Stake and Ward Programs. 

Kathy retired from Cyprus Credit Union where she worked as a teller, head teller, loan officer, and branch manager.  In the twenty-five years working there, her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.  To know her was to love her.  Kathy loved travelling with her husband and spending time with her grandkids creating great memories that they will forever cherish.

Survived by husband Rodney Collings, daughters Christine Webb (James), Tiffany Vandertoolen (Ryan), and Jennifer Clark (Steve), and nine grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents, brother Tommy, and sister-in-law Juanita.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, January 22^nd at Peel Funeral Home 8525 W 2700 S Magna from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 23^rd at Valley View Cemetery 4335 W 4100 S West Valley City at 1:00 pm.
