Barbara Kay Avery Myler Krogh was born on March 31, 1935, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, to Barbara Snyder Avery and Ortell Eugene Avery. She passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at the age of 91 in Magna, Utah.

Barbara lived a remarkable life defined by her love for family, her artistic talents, and her enduring strength of character. She was an accomplished artist whose work celebrated and honored Native American culture, sharing her creativity and passion with all who knew her. Through her artistry, she left a lasting impression that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Barbara was the proud mother of eleven children: DaLane, Lawana, Von, Kevin, Tammy, Wendy, Lonnie, Lacie, Derrick, Shawn, and Shane. She shared these children with her former husband, Ralph Okrey Myler, whose role as their father remained an important part of her family’s story.

For the past 43 years, Barbara shared a devoted and loving marriage with her husband, Ronald Krogh, who was truly the love of her life. Together they built a life filled with companionship, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their enduring bond served as an example of love and commitment to all who knew them.

Barbara’s legacy lives on through her beloved husband, Ronald; her eleven children; 37 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Ellen Avery Frantz and Floydene Liljenquist, and by her brother, Glen Avery.

Barbara’s life was one of resilience, creativity, generosity, and love. Her legacy has grown with every passing year through the family she nurtured, the art she created, and the countless lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts, memories, and stories of those who loved her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations.
