Helen Kaye "Sis" Prokopis

Our loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Sis passed away at her home on March 3, 2014.  Sis was born July 9, 1963 to Bill and Nanette Prokopis of Magna, Utah.  She graduated from Cyprus High where she excelled in athletics before continuing her education at Dixie College .  She had an accomplished 27 year career with UPS where she drove long haul semis. She loved her job and the many people she worked with.  She was most proud of her son, Trevor Jon Prokopis.  She loved to fill her free time watching Trevor in his sports activities and boating with family and friends at her property on Starvation Reservoir.  Sis was the rock to lean on in our family.  She helped raise, support, and care for so many of us.  She always had a loving open door for anyone and will forever be loved and missed by those she helped so much. Survived by her son, Trevor (Haleigh); sister, Cari Prokopis; brothers, Tedd (Debbie) and Steve (Stephanie), all of Magna; and many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; nephews, Dallas, Billy, and Paul.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., where viewings will be held Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 11-11:45 a.m. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
