Keith McAllister

On Nov. 25, 2022  our father finally received his wish to be reunited with his sweetheart of 70 years.  Keith was born May 19, 1926 in Garfield, Utah to James McAllister and Gladys Marsden.  He graduated from Cyprus High School at the age of 17 and shortly after joined the Navy to serve in World War 11 of which he earned an honorable discharge. Dad was very patriotic his entire life.  

He married LaRona Dee Christensen on Sept. 7, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They were blessed with four children.  He worked at Kennecott Copper Corporation for the water company.  He was also an accomplished  finish carpenter.  He and LaRona built their first home in Magna on 7200 West.  He enjoyed golfing, and walking three miles each day, until his stroke three years ago.  Later in life his hobby was doing sand art on ostrich eggs, rock and pictures in frames.  He also made several beautifully carved wooden jewelry boxes.  

He is survived  by Gayle (Jeff) Hill, Price, Utah.  Bob (Debbie), West Jordan, Utah.  Kathy (Joe) Andreason, Magna, Utah.  18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, LaRona and his son, Boyd, parents and siblings.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Summit Senior Living for their love and care for their father.  We would like to give a special shout out to Scott "the boss" for the special care you gave dad.  

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.  A short funeral service will be held following the viewing.  Both will be at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main St..  Interment: Valley View Memorial Park
