Kristi Aleshia Lester

1951 – 2025

Kristi A. Lester, 74, passed away suddenly on October 25th, 2025, in Tooele, Utah. She was born to Doreen Sagers and Leo Longson in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 18th, 1951, but later adopted by her stepfather, Jess Milgate, when she was 9 years old. Kristi and her brothers were then sealed to Doreen and Jess in the Salt Lake City temple.

Kristi married David (Scott) Lester on December 19th, 1970, in Elko, NV, and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City temple on August 6th, 1973. Kristi and Scott settled in Magna Utah, and raised seven children, Rebecca, Alesha, Kathi (Ryan), Erin (Kevin), Lori (Robert), David (Starlyn), and Dee (Wendy). Kristi and Scott were married for a remarkable 54 years, 10 months and 6 days.

Kristi was a talented artist, specifically when it came to painting wall murals. She spent countless hours painting incredible murals in each of her grandchildren’s bedrooms. She also completed murals for the Magna Elementary School library and numerous businesses.

Kristi made scrapbooks for all her children and grandchildren, which we will forever treasure. Our scrapbooks show Kristi’s testimony of the importance of family, genealogy, and unconditional love.

She had a deep love for all children and was a daycare provider for countless children, she would even provide her services at little or no cost when there was a child in need.

Kristi had an unwavering testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She showed her dedication to the church and Lord through the numerous callings she held in the church and countless hours of community service. She also loved animals, nature, writing poetry, and was an avid reader.

Kristi’s legacy will continue through her brother Kelly Migate (Michelle), as well as her 18 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

A long-awaited reunion is now taking place in the heavens with those who preceded Kristi in death; Brenda Lee Lester (infant daughter), Doreen (mother), Jess (father), Leo (biological father), Kevin, (brother), Kenny (brother), and many other family members and friends.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 1:00 – 2:15 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 332 E. 1000 N., Tooele,  UT.  Funeral services will begin at 2:30. It was Kristi’s desire to be cremated and later placed near the grave of her daughter, Brenda Lee. As such, there will be no graveside services at this time
