Kyle Leland Roundy, age 60, passed away on April 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. Born on July 24, 1964, Kyle lived a life marked by passion, strength, and deep love for those closest to him.
Kyle’s greatest joy was found in his children and grandchildren, whom he loved with all his heart. He is survived by his daughter Jeanine (Anthony) Roundy; sons Ronald (Sara) Roundy and Michael (Stephanie) Perry; and his beloved grandchildren: Tristan, Kaylieann, Victor, Ben, Leo, Janae, Autumn, and Trinilin. He cherished every moment spent with them—riding Frontrunner, watching movies, giving them horseback rides, or surprising them with treats. Time with his grandchildren brought him some of his happiest days.
He was a man who felt deeply and cared fiercely—stubborn, loving, and a fighter to the end. Kyle was a defender of what he believed in and never hesitated to stand up for what he thought was right. He had a charismatic presence and a wide circle of friends, many of whom his family only came to know through the stories others shared. He was generous with his affection and loyalty, and he even gave away his bingo winnings just to brighten someone else’s day. Those who knew Kyle will remember his big heart and the spark of toughness that made it clear: he was not someone to be taken lightly.
In his later years, Kyle found a home at Willow Springs Rocky Mountain Care, where he spent meaningful time connecting with others, teasing the nurses, playing bingo, watching movies, and forging friendships that brought him comfort and joy. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Willow Springs for their compassionate care and kindness. A special thank you goes to Aaron, his hospice nurse over the past few months, for the kind and loving care he gave to Kyle during his final days.
Kyle is also survived by his stepmom, Judith Roundy; and his siblings: Andrew, Kim (Jana), Kathleen (Alan) VonHatten, Cortney (Kayla), Jesse, Kenneth, Trevor (Charli), Virginia (Steve), and Melanie Roundy. He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Roundy; his mother, MaryLou Weight Roundy; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Shriber Roundy.
Though he faced many struggles, particularly with his health and faith, Kyle held a quiet conviction. He knew his Father in Heaven was real and loving, and that knowledge brought him peace.
Kyle leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family would deeply appreciate donations to help with funeral expenses. Contributions can be made via Venmo to Kim Roundy (@KimRoundy1) Kim Roundy's venmo or through Peel Funeral Home by calling 801-250-2624.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
